About Us

Our Mission

At Between Stars, we aim to empower individuals to love themselves and embrace who they are. We acknowledge the ebbs and flows of the therapy journey and take pride in accompanying you between these spaces of learning and evolving. We are grateful to be part of the experience and intertwine occupational therapy, art therapy, and nature-based therapies to create a space for connection to ourselves and the world around us. Grounded in the principles of autonomy, advocacy, and authenticity, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that values the inherent courage within each person. We let joy guide us as the spark that ignites creativity, fuels resilience, and creates meaningful connections.

About Savannah

Savannah is an AHPRA-certified occupational therapist. She received her degree (Bachelor of Applied Sciences, Occupational Therapy) in 2018. Since then, Savannah has worked specifically with children, adolescents and the communities that support them. Savannah comes from a sensory integrative framework for intervention. As a neurodivergent and Aboriginal occupational therapist, identity, autonomy, and advocacy are the foundations of her practice. Savannah enjoys thinking creatively about how to find alternative solutions to engaging in therapy.

Savannah returned to university to complete a Graduate Diploma in Creative Therapies. Savannah is armed with the tools and passion for living creatively and exploring self-expression, mental health and connection.

Savannah has had the opportunity to expand and create both the Jabiru 2.0 and Beyond Jabiru camping interventions as extensions of Camp Jabiru, founded by Colleen Hacker at The Sensory Gym. Both programs support adolescents in building valuable life skills such as interdependent communication and executive function within the safety of being their authentic selves and sensory integrative practice. Between Stars was born of a desire to do more within this space.
